First Roots Community Food Pantry, an outreach program of First Roots International Ministries, is dedicated to “Healing Nations by Restoring Foundations” through compassionate, faith-centered service that strengthens individuals, families, and communities. Our mission is to address food insecurity while upholding the values of human dignity, religious liberty, humanitarian compassion, peace, accountability, and restorative justice. What sets us apart is our holistic approach: we do more than distribute food—we connect those we serve with shelter and transitional-housing support, counseling and wellness resources, youth mentorship, violence-prevention initiatives, addiction-recovery support, and other community-restoration services. By combining immediate relief with long-term support, trusted relationships, and community partnerships, First Roots helps people move beyond crisis toward stability, dignity, and lasting transformation.
Through First Roots Community Food Pantry and the broader outreach programs of First Roots International Ministries, we provide food assistance, shelter and transitional-housing support, educational and leadership-development opportunities, youth mentorship, counseling, wellness resources, and community-restoration services. Our housing programs help individuals and families move from crisis toward safe, stable living, while our educational initiatives equip participants with practical knowledge, life skills, spiritual development, and leadership tools that support long-term independence. Through direct community outreach and partnerships, we connect underserved residents with essential resources, supportive relationships, and opportunities for personal and economic growth. By coordinating food, housing, education, and outreach under one compassionate service model, we help people address immediate needs while building a pathway toward dignity, stability, self-sufficiency, and lasting transformation.
Our Products and Services
First Roots Shelter
The First Roots Shelter and Transitional Housing Program is designed to provide safe, temporary housing and stabilization support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, displacement, or other personal crises. In addition to shelter, participants are connected with food assistance, counseling and wellness resources, addiction-recovery support, violence-prevention services, youth mentorship, educational opportunities, and community-based referrals. The program’s goal is not only to meet immediate needs, but also to help participants develop the stability, knowledge, support systems, and practical skills needed to transition toward permanent housing, greater independence, and long-term well-being.
First Roots Education
The First Roots Education Program provides faith-based education, leadership development, ministerial training, cultural preservation, and humanitarian-service instruction through academies, institutes, training centers, and community learning initiatives. The program equips participants with spiritual knowledge, practical skills, leadership abilities, and a stronger understanding of history and culture so they can pursue personal growth, serve their communities, and contribute to long-term restoration.
First Roots Ministry
The First Roots Ministry Program provides faith-centered spiritual guidance, religious education, ministerial training and credentialing, covenant fellowship, pastoral counseling, and opportunities for humanitarian service. Through leadership development, community outreach, and restoration initiatives, the program helps individuals strengthen their spiritual foundations, develop practical leadership skills, and serve families and communities with compassion, integrity, and dignity.
